A HUGE thank you to everyone who baked for Round 21 and to the amazing people who were able to drop off baking and help out at the Hospice Cuppa Launch last week!
It looked like a glamourous event with loads of yummy baking and celebrities walking round! Very gutted I couldn’t be down there for it but thank you sooo much to Jo, Owen and all the ladies and gentlemen who helped out on the day (and earlier that week) in my stead.
Carol, who organized the whole event had this lovely message for you all:
Thank you so much for all of your amazing efforts to help us make a success of the launch of the Hospice Cuppa campaign for Hospice North Shore, Mercy Hospice and West Auckland Hospice. Your amazing home baking added so much to the event and everything was just delicious!
We had a great turn out to the launch, including special guest Alan Whetton who spoke about what Hospice meant to him and Tina Cross who entertained the guests with her amazing voice. Everyone had a great time and definitely enjoyed the home baked goodies provided by the “Baking for Hospice” group!
The success of the launch is in turn helping us bump up registrations for Hosts for the Hospice Cuppa, in fact to double of last years registrations – which we hope will turn into more fundraising dollars to help support those living with a terminal illness.
Thank you also to those who volunteered at the event…..it was greatly appreciated and you were all wonderful!
So once again, a huge thank you from us all for helping us make this all possible

What an amazing event and initiative. If you think you or your business or organization would like to host a Hospice Cuppa go to http://hospicecuppa.co.nz/ to find out more information and to register!
Also it’s the Hospice Annual Appeal Week so do keep an eye out for all the fundraising activities and events this week!
And super sorry for the late Wrap Up. Am working on it and will have it up by the end of the week promise!!!
The next Baking for Hospice Round (Round 22) will be Sunday 24 June …any suggestions on the theme??
Keep warm everyone!
