You will find as you look back upon your life that the moments when you have truly lived are the moments when you have done things in the spirit of love.

Hello lovely bakers!
The theme for this round was inspired by the Royal Wedding and also my own wedding coming up (eek 6 days to go!!) and our talented bakers whipped up gorgeous creations celebrating all things lovely and romantic.
Thank you so so much for all those who baked and thanks again for hanging in there with me while I muck around with dates as I work out how everything is going to work out while I’m down in Dunedin.
I love Baking for Hospice, I love meeting and getting to know all you wonderful bakers and most of all I love getting to give something back to a place with gives so much to others and I’m determined (and stubborn enough!) to make this work even while I’m living in Dunedin. So thank you again for bearing with me! *Hugs*
So without further ado, here’s the lovely menu and stories from this Love & Marriage Round:
Judy’s Chocolate Crunch was a favourite of her boys as they were growing up and she still gets requests for them! Whipping up a batch up is her way of showing her love to her boys.
We had lots of super cute heart cookies from the talented bakers this round. Ever wondered why the heart is a symbol of love? Well according to good old Wikipedia, ancient philosophers believed that the heart was the seat of the soul and origin of all thought and emotion because your heart beat changes when you are happy, scared or excited.
I know there was a lot going on the weekend of the baking round seeing as it was the last weekend of the school hols so thank you so much for taking the time out to bake even though you were flat out – especially to Kathryn and Colleen (of Delish Cupcakes) who got gorgeous cupcakes to us even though they were out of town at the time (Thanks Kathryn’s Mum!).
And a super massive thanks to super mum Ange who stepped in to be a drop off site for this round AND baked, all while looking after her 3 beautiful boys and moving house and studying and still staying super lovely and happy!! You’re amazing, Ange.
So so sorry but I completely forgot to welcome our latest bakers in the last Wrap Up so a massive belated bienvenue to Shahlaa, Tesneem, Greta, Susy, Cindy, Rhiannon, Julie, Penny, Deborah, Cat, and Linda. And also warm welcomes to Amy C and Miranda. It’s awesome to have new enthusiastic bakers on board! Thanks heaps for signing up!
The next Baking for Hospice round – Round 16 – will be Sunday 3 July and since it’s so close to Independence Day, the theme will be The good old US of A! So put your thinking caps on for those favourite American baked goodies or Independence Day decorations putting a little bit of the American Dream into your baking 🙂
Keep well everyone! Next time I see you I’ll be a “Mrs” 🙂
